Mimi’s Traditional Thanksgiving Stuffing Recipe

1 medium onion, diced

2 ribs of celery, diced

8 ounces of button mushrooms, sliced

¼ teaspoon each ground Sage, Rosemary

Thyme and Marjoram

Pinch of salt and pepper

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

2 cups bread cubes

1 cup chicken Stock


1Over medium heat, add oil, butter and onions sauté for 10 minutes.

2Add celery, pinch of salt and pepper, sauté another 10 minutes, until celery is tender.

3Add mushrooms and seasonings, cook for additional 10 minutes.

4Add stock and raise heat to high, once boil is reached, turn off.

5Add bread cubes, mix until all cubes are moist.

6Once stuffing is cool, stuff your turkey and cook according to directions on packaging.

7Place the extra stuffing in a casserole dish, pop in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes, until golden brown on top.
