1Place apples in medium saucepot
2Add 1/2 cup water and 2 Tablespoons of fresh lemon juice.
3Cook slowly over low heat until apples are soft, stirring often. If applesauce gets too thick, add a small amount of water.
4Remove from heat and then add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
5Mash apples with fork until desired consistency is reached.
6Refrigerate until ready to serve.
