Sign-up today for our fun and fabulous culinary tour of Sicily, taking place in 2013. Take in the magnificent views of Mount Etna, perched town of Taormina, relax on the picturesque beaches and take in the beauty of southeastern Sicily as the natives do; relish the local ambiance, not the usual tourist traps. The fusion cuisine of multi-cultural influences will take Foodies to a new realm.
We’ll visit the gastronomic cities of Sicily, where you’ll taste incredible, organic flavors of this unique region. Chef Jacquie introduces you to the craftsmen offering honey, wine, olive oil, cheese, chocolates, and pastries. Feel the excitement of the open air market and experience fresh foods of all kinds, including a fish auction that’s held daily. We will stop by and see Chef Angelo for a cooking lesson by the beach. On our journey you’ll meet the King of Olive Oil and enjoy a cooking lesson with Chef Jacquie.
At one of THE best restaurants in Sicily, savor lunch, meet the Chef and his family, and tour his wine cellar. As a special treat, our journey will take us to visit Baron Franco and his wife, who welcome us with espresso and a smile. It’s fun to get a personal tour of his villa, where The Godfather movies were filmed.
Stay in charming accommodations. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and luxury transfers to and from the airport are included in the price. You’ll feel pampered as we travel by private luxury car through and view Sicily’s oceans, mountains, and countryside. Personable drivers born and raised in Sicily create memorable experiences as they share their knowledge of the area and tell entertaining tales in English with a New York accent. Don’t worry about not speaking the language; Chef Jacquie is bilingual, so you’re covered when we venture out.
